Sept 1. - BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - The Bethany women's tennis team began their 2016 season with a 9-0 non-conference loss to Geneva. 

The Golden Tornadoes swept doubles competition where the second grouping of Angela Counselman (Bethany, W.Va. / Brooke) and Emily Folk (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) fell to Megan Shultz and Victoria Hinds, 8-1.

Geneva also saw themselves on the positive end of a sweep of singles competition as well. Francesca Capaldi (Steubenville, Ohio / Catholic Central) dropped her match to Michelle Kisiel, 6-2.

The Bison's next match falls on Thursday, Sept.8 when they travel to take on Saint Vincent.
