Blango Named ECAC DIII South Defensive Player of the Month

Danbury, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Football Players of the Month for October 2019. Senior Chas Blango (Pittsburgh, Pa | Mount Lebanon) was recognized as the ECAC Division III South Defensive Player of the Month for the month of October.

Blango stuffed the statsheet recording 40 tackles, 6.5 sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and two pass breakups. His biggest game came against Carnegie Mellon where he picked up 3.5 sacks, and had 4.5 tackles for a loss, forced two fumbles and recovered one, while breaking up one pass and making one interception.

The defensive end earned D3football.com and PAC Player of the Week for his performance against Carnegie Mellon.

Bethany returns to action at Bison Stadium this Saturday, November 9 for the 125th anniversary of Bethany College Football against the Thiel Tomcats. Kickoff set for 1:25 pm.
