Greenville, Pa (Jan. 28) – Bethany College men's basketball player Allayasa Bray (Pittsburgh, Pa | Obama Academy) was announced as Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the week for his performance last week.
As a reserve, Bray averaged 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals last week for Bethany. On Saturday at Chatham, Bray notched a career high 18 points and pulled in seven boards. In the victory over Thiel Monday night, Bray totaled 10 points to help propel the Bison to their second PAC win of the season. He finished the week shooting 47.4% from the field and knocked in 76.9% (10-13) of his free throws.
Bray is second on the team in points, with (10.8) and second in rebounds (4.1). He is third on the team in free throw percentage (72.3) landing him 11th in the PAC.
The weekly laurel is the second straight for Bray.
