Bethany College

Thorsen is in his first year as a head coach at Bethany College in 2025-26.

Thorsen remains a key part of Bethany’s success after joining the program in 2021 as a graduate assistant. Thorsen has head coaching experience at Bethany, serving as the Interim Head Coach during the 2022-23 season.

Before becoming head ball coach, Thorsen worked as the Academic Liaison for Bethany College Athletics while assisting with the men's basketball team

Prior to becoming an assistant at Bethany, Thorsen served as the assistant coach at the United States Military Academy Preparatory School. He has also spent time working and assisting in various camps including West Point Elite Camp and the NCAA College Basketball Academy.

Thorsen played college basketball at Penn State-Behrend for four years. During his time at Behrend, the Lions had an 85-30 record, made three ECAC appearances, won an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championship, and made an NCAA playoff appearance.
