Jay Gorman

Jay Gorman

Jay Gorman, a native of Sewell, New Jersey, enters his second season as the assistant baseball coach at Bethany College.

Gorman works primarily with the pitching staff, where he helped the Bison to a 27-16 record last season and a team ERA of 4.26. Junior Isaac Wengert earned second team all-conference honors with a 6-2 record and a 3.6 ERA. Junior Tim Reinhard earned honorable mention all-conference honors with a 2.64 ERA.

Before Bethany, Gorman coached at Gloucester Catholic High School out of Gloucester city, NJ. Gorman worked a group of outstanding athletes who went on to play college baseball at different levels.  Gorman was involved with the pitching staff on the 2018 team that won a New Jersey state championship.  Gorman has also worked at All-star Baseball Academy out of Cherry Hill, NJ where he assisted a 13u team as well as 16u team.

Gorman played his collegiate baseball at Rutgers University- Camden and Montclair State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology and a minor in Child Advocacy.
