Bethany, W.Va. – The Bethany College men's lacrosse team hosted the Westminster Titans in a non-conference contest Saturday afternoon in Bison Stadium. The Titans defeated the Bison, 16-7. Andre Currie led the Green and White with three goals.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Titans jumped to a quick three goal lead over the Bison. Khoury Kloss hit the back of the net to get the Bison on the board, but Westminster added another goal to take a 4-1 lead with under six minutes to go. Bethany cut the lead in half after an Andre Currie goal. Titans led 4-2 at the end of one.
Westminster continued to have hot sticks, going up 7-2 before Currie riffled in another goal. Westminster had an answer quickly adding two more goals to go up 9-3. Aarin Burton hit the back of the net, cutting the lead to 9-4 with 2:32 to go in the half. Westminster added two more goals before the break, heading into the intermission, 11-4.
The Titans added five goals in the second half and held onto the lead. Bethany added three goals. Josh Allegra hit the back of the net at the 13:04. Andre Currie added a third goal, and Clay Yingling added the final Bison goal of the game.
