PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Junior standout javelin thrower Grace Tice (Mansfield, Pa. / North Penn-Mansfield) of Bethany College women's track and field team concluded her season at the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by St. John Fisher University.
Tice competed in javelin, where she came into the event being ranked 19th. She placed 17th in the event with a throw of 118 feet, three inches (36.05 meters) on her third throw of her flight of competition.
She set the school record earlier this season at the Westminster Invitational with a throw of 134 feet, six inches (40.99 meters). That mark would end of putting her in the top-22 to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Tice is the second female track and field athlete to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
