UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH- The Bison played a single nine inning contest against the John Carroll Blue Streaks. Despite swinging the bats hot down south, the Bison were held scoreless against their Ohio Athletic Conference opponent.
On a positive note, the Bison had three doubels. Two of those were struck by Niko Heidt. In his past two games where he saw plate appearances rather than a defensive sub, the rangey center fielder is 4-7 with four doubles. Heidt posted two runs and an RBI in his double-double game against SUNY POLY.
Jaden Nestor-Fox collected the other Bison double. He pushes his hitting streak to six games.
The Bison bullpen is proven to be miles deeper than in previous years. A fair amount of arms can come in and eat up innings. A good look for when the Green and White enter conference play doubleheaders. Both Josh Speaker and Sonny Peluchette slung from the stretch today.
However, it was John Carrolls day. They swung it well on their new field, besting the Bison 10-0.
Bethany will have a quick turnaround, playing a full nine against Muskingum tomorrow. First pitch will be at 4 p.m.
