ALFRED, N.Y. - Ruddy Sampson and Cameron Russo combined for eight goals as the Bethany College men's lacrosse team scored eight goals in the first period en route to the 14-6 victory over Alfred State Wednesday in non-conference action.
Four different players scored in the opening period as Sampson tallied three goals with an assist. Russo and Tyler Britton scored twice in the period.
Each team scored twice in the second period and Bethany extended its lead after halftime scoring three of the four third-quarter goals.
Sampson finished with four goals and one assist as did Russo. Britton finished with three goals and an assist, while Ethyn Taylor added three assists and a goal.
Bethany (4-5), winners in back-to-back games, travels to Thiel noon Saturday.
