Bison Prep for PACs

ASHLAND, Ohio – The Bison were able to stack themselves up against elite competition at the Ashland University Alumni Open. Bethany had a fine showing, even taking home a gold medal in the men's 100m.

None other than Caliyph McClinton ran a 10.5 second 100m or better. McClinton continues to burn in the straightaway, besting Division I and Division II competition this weekend. While the sprinter did not technically improve on his time, the consistency is arguably more impressive. With a time that sits atop the conference, McClinton is in a great spot for the Presidents Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship approaching.

McClinton also had a solid showing in the 200m. He finished seventh with a 21.47 final.

Tsi Fofang was another top sprinter for the Bison. He finished in the top 20 while freshman Shavel Lesley was right behind the senior- finishing in the top 25.

Both athletes went on to run the relay. The 4x100 clocked a time of 43.1, finishing fourth.

Alexis Mahaffey had a solid throw getting lumped in the finals with DI competition. Her best throw was a 49.51 toss, landing her sixth on the performance list.

The Bison are ready for the Presidents Athletic Conference Championships. Day one of competition will be this Thursday.
