VIENNA, Ohio - The Bethany College women's golf team competed in the first round of the 2026-27 Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Golf Fall Championships at Squaw Creek-Avalon Golf & Country Club.

Bethany opened the first of four rounds in this year's PAC Championships where the Bison shot a season-best round of 420 (+132). The Green and White foursome sit at seventh heading into day two after competing individually in each of the past two conference tournaments. After Day 1, Westminster (Pa.) College holds the lead with a team score of 343 (+55) with Grove City (Pa.) College sophomore Emily Burling leading the field with a score of 77 (+5). The combined 72-hole team totals determine PAC team champions and winners of the league's automatic-qualifying bids to the NCAA Division III Championships on May 11-14 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.

The Bison were led by Academic All-PAC junior Natalie DuShole (Waterford, Pa./Fort LeBouf) in the first round as she fired a 91 (+19) and is tied for 16th place. DuShole notched four pars and sits just one spot out of an All-PAC consideration.

Academic All-PAC sophomore Shelby Cascioli (Lapeer, Mich.) also began her tournament with four pars and a score of 97 (+25) to rank 29th.

Senior Victoria Wehrberger (Sebastian, Fla./Sebastian River) comes in at 45th after carding her best round of the year with a 114 (+42).

Freshman Jersey Hicks (Grantsburg, Wis.) recorded two pars for a round of 118 (+46) in her first career PAC tournament.

The Bison are back in action on Tuesday, October 13 as they travel to Vienna, Ohio to continue the Presidents' Athletic Conference Fall Championships at 10:30 a.m. at Squaw Creek-Avalon Golf & Country Club.
