WARREN, Ohio - The Bethany College men's golf team competed in the second round of the 2026-27 Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Golf Fall Championships at Avalon Lakes Golf Course.

Bethany closed out the 2026-27 Fall season by totaling a team score of 322 (+38) to finish eighth in the fall championships with a two-round score of 640 (+34). Winning the team standings was Saint Vincent (Pa.) College which shot a 299 (+11) on Day 2 as the Bearcats finished with a tournament-best score of 597 (+21). Saint Vincent senior Evan Bower shot a 70 (-2) to even out his score at 144 at the fall championships and to claim the individual title.

All-PAC senior Jude Smith (Weirton, W.Va./Weir) added to his big tournament thanks to a round of 77 (+5) to finish just five strokes over in the PAC Fall Championships with a two-day score of 149. Smith concluded the fall season with four birdies and seven pars for a top-five finish in the first half of the conference tournament.

Sophomore Brayden Roberts (Franklin, Ky./Franklin-Simpson) had the biggest leap for the Bison after shooting a 79 (+7) in Round 2 for a total of 163 (+19) at this fall's championship. Roberts tied for 36th overall after firing 10 pars and two birdies in the second day of competition.

Academic All-PAC senior Sam Phillips (Charleston, W.Va./Herbert Hoover) and freshman Jacob Bursey (Winchester, Va./James Woods) once again had identical days as they each penciled in an 83 (+11) for a total of 164 (+20) on the week. Phillips recorded the Green and White's only eagle of the tournament on the third hole and added three birdies and three pars in his second-round effort. Bursey tallied six pars and two birdies as the pair finished tied for 39th overall. 

Senior Payton Hildebrand (Wellsburg, W.Va./Wheeling Central Catholic) followed his first round with a score of 88 (+16) to score a 172 (+28) total in the first two rounds of the conference championship.

The 2026-27 Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championships will resume in the Spring of 2027 on Friday, April 23 at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio.
