WHEELING, W.Va. - The Bethany College women's golf team hosted the Bethany Spring Invitational on the Robert Trent Jones Course at Oglebay Park.
The Bison were back on their home turf in one last tournament before heading to the Presidents' Athletic Conference Spring Championships at the end of the month. Bethany fielded three golfers among the 14-woman field and faced off against PAC opponents Geneva (Pa.) College, Thiel (Pa.) College, and Waynesburg (Pa.) University. Thiel took home first place at the Invitational with a four-player score of 421 (+137) on the 71-par course.
Leading the way for the Bison and placing third overall was Academic All-PAC sophomore
Natalie DuShole (Waterford, Pa./Fort Lebouf).
DuShole shot a 100 (+29) falling just three strokes of the Tomcats' champion Emily Eutsey.
Freshman
Shelby Cascioli (Lapeer, Mich.) had a solid home debut as she fired a 104 (+33) which was better than half of both the Thiel and Waynesburg squads to land her in sixth place.
Freshman
Avery Badenhop (Napoleon, Ohio) also competed for the Bison making her collegiate debut after battling a shoulder injury that kept her out of the fall season.
The Bison are back in action on Friday, April 24 as they travel to Boardman, Ohio to compete in the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference spring championships at 9:30 a.m. at Mill Creek Golf Course.
