NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The third-seeded Bethany College softball team fell to second-seeded Geneva (Pa.) College in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament Semifinals by a final score of 3-0 at the Westminster Softball Field.
Bethany's record-breaking 2026 season comes to an end just one game shy of the PAC Tournament Championship Series after yet another close battle with Geneva. Hits were hard to come by as the two teams remained deadlocked at zero through almost four innings before the Golden Tornadoes got on the board with an RBI single. The Bison had a few opportunities late in the game with runners in scoring position but the GT offense came alive in the final three frames to send Geneva to the championship round. The 2026 campaign was Bethany's best season since 2010 and the sixth greatest in the program's 43-year history as the Bison finish the season with an overall record of 30-12 with a 15-7 record in conference play. Geneva improves to 34-9 and 18-4 in the PAC and advances to the PAC Tournament Championship where they will face top-seeded Westminster.
