Andrew Woodley enters his third year as the Sports Information Director at Bethany College in 2018-19.
He is responsible for the promotion of Bison Athletics in the media, recording statistics for all varsity teams and maintaining the athletics web site. Woodley's tasks also include designing publications, coordinating video production and photography, updating social media pages and overseeing student work study at Bethany College athletics events.
Woodley came to Bethany after serving as the sports information director at Salem International in Salem, West Virginia during both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 academic years. While at Salem, he was the sole media contact for all 17 varsity sports while also serving as game day manager for all home sporting events. The Tigers had their first Division II CCA All-American since 2006 during Woodley's tenure.
Woodley spent the 2013-14 academic year as a graduate assistant in the sports information office at California University of Pennsylvania. While with the Vulcans he aided in all facets of sports information and helped host the 2013 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women's Soccer Tournament and NCAA Regional Tournaments in both women's soccer and softball during the 2013-14 academic year.
Prior to Cal U, Woodley spent two years in Westerville, Ohio at Otterbein University as an intern, where he was instrumental in redesigning the content of all publications produced by the athletics department. In addition to his duties in the sports information office, Woodley assisted with the redesign of content layout for the Cardinals athletics website and aided the athletic department's "Turf and Track Project" that raised $2.0 million to install a new turf field and new track surface at Memorial Stadium.
Woodley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from Cal U and earned a Master of Science in Sport Management from the university, with a concentration in Athletic Administration. A four-year student-assistant in the Vulcan Sports Information Office, he also completed an internship with the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) media relations department as an undergrad, and aided the NHL staff at the 2011 Winter Classic at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
