Chad Boskat is entering his fifth season at the helm of the Bison defensive line.
In 2015, Boskat helped lead a defense that ranked fifth in the conference at stopping the run. The Green & White tallied 93 tackles for loss, which ranked first in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference. The team also totaled 34 sacks, ranking third.
Individually, defensive end Nadim Raddar ranked second in the conference in sacks, tallying 12.0 on the season.
Ten different Bison have been named All-Conference selections during Boskat’s tenure, including First-Team honors in 2014 and 2015 for Raddar. Eric Campbell (2014, 2015), Devon McClain (2015), Daniel Gibson (2015), Khallid Pierce (2014), Nick Greer (2014), Jarrett Rayhmes (2013) and Blake DeBord (2012) have also earned All-PAC honors.
Boskat coached Raddar to AFCA All-American status as well as PAC Defensive Player of the Year and ECAC South Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2014. During the year, Raddar tallied 81 tackles and ranked among the best in the Nation in tackles for loss (21.5) and total sacks (12.5).
Throughout Boskat’s four seasons, no team in the conference has tallied more tackles for loss than the Bison. Over the four-year stretch, the Green & White have amassed 321 tackles for loss, including a high of 120 in 2014. Additionally, Bethany sits second in sacks, totalling 112 in four seasons (second only to Thomas More’s 117).
In 2014, Boskat helped lead the defensive front seven to National prominance, as the Bison ranked first in all of Division III in tackles for loss per game (10.9). The team posted 120 tackles for loss and 43 sacks on the season. Seven times in 11 games, the Green & White tallied double-digit TFLs, including a season-best 17.0 against Geneva College.
Prior to his time with the Bison, Boskat spent the 2011 season as an assistant coach at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois. In addition to being the head defensive line coach, he assisted with the preparation of the defensive game plan, helped breakdown offensive and defensive game film, and recruited, concentrating mainly in the Chicago and St. Louis area.
A native of Jamestown, N.Y., Boskat graduated from W&J in, 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.
