Bethany College

Riley LaBoe enters her first season as the Head Softball Coach at Bethany College in 2026-27.

LaBoe will take over the Bethany head coaching job after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. While at Stevens, she helped lead the Ducks to two postseason berths, including the third-best season in program history in 2026 as the team finished with a 24-16 record. LaBoe was the team's recruiting coordinator and held the position of development and alumni coordinator for the Stevens Athletic Department.  

Before her time at Stevens, LaBoe was a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater, Wheeling University, for the 2023 and 2024 seasons, and has also served as both a coach and instructor in her hometown for over 10 years.  

Before joining the ranks as a coach, LaBoe was a five-year member of the softball team at Wheeling. She primarily played infield and designated hitter over the course of three seasons for the Cardinals and was a team manager for two years. LaBoe also had a standout career at Perry High School, where she was named the 2016 Chagrin Valley Conference Player of the Year and was a part of three CVC Championship teams.  

LaBoe graduated from Wheeling with both her Bachelor of Science in exercise science in 2022 and her Master of Business Administration in 2024.
