SEPT.8- ALLIANCE, Ohio- The Bethany College men's soccer team fell, 1-0, to the University of Mount Union in the championship match of the Mount Union Invitational held on Sunday afternoon at Mount Union Stadium.
Alex Bable earned his third victory of the season and his second shutout, as he recorded four saves in the win for Mount Union.

Arkangelo James (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) led the Bison with five shots in the game.
Tom Beck scored the game-winner for the Purple Raiders in the 32nd minute. This was Beck's second goal of the season.
Despite being outshot 7-2 in the opening period, the Raiders took a 1-0 lead into the locker room
The Bison managed six shots in the second half but couldn't beat Bable, as the Raiders went on for the 1-0 victory to claim the title at the Mount Union Invitational.
Bethany returns to action on Wednesday, September 11 when they host Penn State- New Kensington for its home opener at 4:30 p.m. at Hoag Field.
