Oct. 8 – BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College men's soccer team fell to Westminster College, 6-0, on Wednesday evening.
The Titans took an early 1-0 lead on the Bison, as Zack Walters scored in the 9th minute of action.
Westminster would then add another goal to take a 2-0 lead entering halftime.
Sophomore Callum Appleby (Maidstone, United Kingdom/Maidstone Grammar School) played well in the first half, logging three saves on 12 Titan shots.
The second half saw the visitors add four more goals en route to defeating the Bison.
Offensively, the Bison were led by sophomore Jack Waters (Epsom, United Kingdom/Glyn School) and freshman William Noble (Pittsburgh, Pa./Springdale). Waters tallied two shots, while Noble added three.
The Bethany men's soccer team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11, as they play host to Presidents' Athletic Conference foe Grove City College. Game time is slated for 12:00 pm.
