FREDONIA, N.Y. (Oct. 14) – The Bethany College volleyball team earned a pair of non-conference wins over Fredonia and Saint John Fisher in a tri-match Saturday afternoon at Dods Hall. The Bison defeated host-Fredonia 3-2 and closed the day with a 3-0 win over Saint John Fisher.

- Sophomore Katie Sparks (Macedonia, Ohio/Trinity) and senior Sumayyah Muhammad (Warren, Ohio/Warren G. Harding) led the Bison with 11 kills each in the win.
- Sparks added 12 digs for the kill-dig double-double, while adding a pair of blocks to her final line.
- Four Bison notched double-digit dig totals, with junior Reilly Parker (North Huntington, Pa./Norwin) leading the team with 27 digs. Junior Keili Terry (Leesburg, Va./Saint John's) finished with 14 digs.
- Freshman Jenna Scott (New Castle, Ind./Liberty Christian) recorded an assist-dig double-double with 19 assists and 14 digs, while junior Emily Duke (North Ridgeville, Ohio/North Ridgeville) established a season-high with 15 assists of her own.

- The Green & White earned their second win of the day with a clean 3-0 sweep of Saint John Fisher.
- Bethany needed just 22 kills (season-low in a win) to dispatch the Cardinals.
- Muhammad and freshman Natalie Spitale (East Canton, Ohio/East Canton) each had five kills to lead the Bison attack.
- Muhammad also added a trio of service aces in the win.
- Scott tossed around 11 assists and added nine digs defensively.
- Parker tallied 12 digs to lead the defense, while Terry closed the match with 11.
