Grove City, Pa. – The Bethany Volleyball team faced the Grove City Wolverines and the Saint Vincent Bearcats in a Presidents' Athletic Conference tri-match Saturday evening inside Grove City College Arena. The Bison suffered a pair of losses to the Wolverines and Bearcats.
THE HIGHLIGHTS (MATCH ONE – GROVE CITY)
- Bethany and Grove City battled in five sets with the Wolverines taking the match, 3-2
- The Bison took set one 25-18
- The Wolverines bounced back taking the second set 25-15
- The third and fourth sets were almost identical to the first two sets, Bethany took set three, 25-23 and Grove City forced a fifth set winning set four 25-15
- In the final set, Bethany trailed from the start. The Wolverines slowly built a comfortable lead 9-3, before the Bison brought the score to within four, 10-6. Grove City held onto the lead, earning the win
