BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's volleyball team hosted the PAC rival Grove City College inside Hummel Field House Tuesday evening. The Wolverines defeated the Bison, 3-1 (27-25, 23-25, 14-25, 21-25).

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• The Bison and Wolverines battled back and forth through the first set with the Bison squeaking by 27-25.
• In set two, both teams continued to go neck and neck. Grove City held at 15-12 lead until the Bison battled back and took the lead. The Wolverines clawed to knot the set at 21-21 and took the lead at 24-23 taking set two.
• The Wolverines maintained momentum into the third set, dominating the Bison 25-14.
• In set four the Bison jumped out ahead of the Wolverines but momentum shifted back to the Wolverines after knotting the set at 11-11. Grove City scored nine straight points taking a 20-11 lead. The Bison attempted to climb back but their comeback fell short 25-21.

INSIDE THE MATCHES

• Sydney Kirker had 10 kills and a team-high 25 digs.
• Anna Taylor added 22 digs and one service ace.
• Alaina Torres had 35 assists.
• Emma Marthins had 10 kills and three blocks.
• Asia Crim led with three aces and 17 digs.
