GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Bethany College women's basketball team cruised to a 74-50 win over Thiel College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup inside Beeghly Gymnasium Wednesday evening.
GAME FLOW
- Ashleigh Wheeler's made three-pointer gave the Bison an early 3-0 lead to start the game. The Bison then went on a 10-2 run with another Wheeler three and back-to-back layups from Bella Skobel.
- The Green and White led 15-5 before Thiel ended the first quarter on a 6-2 run. Bethany led 17-11 after the first quarter.
- In the second stanza, the Bison continued to build on their lead outscoring the Tomcats, 19-7 heading into halftime with a 36-18 lead.
- In the third quarter, it was a low scoring affair. The Bison started the quarter off strong scoring the first bucket of the second half from a Wheeler layup. The Bison extended their lead to 20 after Makenzee Mason hit a three-pointer. The Tomcats went on a run to cut the Bison lead to 44-31. The Tomcats outscored the Bison 15-12 in the third stanza.
- In the fourth, Bethany gained momentum and ran away with a 74-50 victory.
