Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Chatham University Cougars used a strong third quarter to defeat the Bethany College Bison, 67-38 Saturday afternoon.
GAME FLOW
- Bethany and Chatham struggled to find the basket in their first possessions.
- Chatham struck first with Bethany answering moments later off of a Makenzee Mason driving layup. Minutes went by before the next basket with Chatham taking a 4-2 lead. The Cougars pulled ahead 7-2.
- The Bison used a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to one, 11-10.
- Chatham led 13-10 after the first stanza.
- Lindsey Garrison knotted the game at 13-13 to start the second quarter. Bethany regained the lead after a Wheeler three, 21-19.
- Chatham took a 24-21 lead into the half.
- Bethany struggled to stop the Cougar offense in the second half. The Cougars pulled ahead double-digits and never looked back.
- The Bison were outscored 43-17 in the second half.
