Bethany, W.Va. – A strong second half lifted the Washington & Jefferson Presidents over the Bison, 96-74, Monday evening inside Hummel Field House.
GAME FLOW
- Washington and Jefferson scored first off of a pair of free throws taking a 2-0 lead.
- Bethany pulled ahead 8-2 after a pair of three's from Asa Klimchock and a Travis Zimmerman dunk.
- The Presidents battled back to regain the lead at the 12:55 mark of the first half and pulled ahead by as many as 12 points.
- Bethany used a run to cut the W&J lead to single digits. Trent Uphold knocked in a pair of foul shots with 1.8 on the clock before the half. The Presidents led 40-37 heading into the break.
- Asa Klimchock had 15 of his 18 points in the first half.
- Trent Uphold nailed a three to start the second half, deadlocking the game at 40-40.
- Both teams battled back and forth in the second half, with the Presidents eventually landing ahead of the Bison.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Asa Klimchock led the Bison with 18 points and five assists.
- Derek White Jr. had 13 points, 11 rebounds and a team high eight assists. He added five steals and three blocks to his stat line Monday night.
- Trent Uphold added 11 points.
