Virginia Beach, Va. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team finished their spring break trip facing Virginia Wesleyan at Birdsong Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Marlins scored in the first twenty seconds of the game.
• The Bison got on the board quick from Rikiah Wise goal that was assisted by Cassidy Mailloux with 13:24 to go in the first period.
• The Marlins regained the lead at the 13:09 mark, leading 2-1.
• Wise knotted the game again for the Bison but Virginia Wesleyan regained the lead for good seconds later.
• Bethany trailed 6-2 after the first period.
• Heading into halftime, the Bison trailed 9-2.
• The Marlins scored eight goals in the second half to win 17-2.

BISON TOP PERFORMERS

• Rikiah Wise had two goals on four shots. She scooped up two groundballs and caused two turnovers.
• Cassidy Mailloux had one assists in one period of play.
• Sarah Sberna scooped up six groundballs.
• Trinity Dixon had nine saves.
