Bethany, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's lacrosse team cruised to a 15-3 victory over the La Roche University Redhawks Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bethany took a 5-2 lead in the first period. The Bison had five different scorers in the first period. Karley Trinidad, Alexa Taylor, Rikiah Wise, Kaitlin Pickett and Leah Crihfield.
• In the second, the Bison continued their strong offensive effort, taking a 10-2 lead into halftime. Rikiah Wise scored twice while Karley Trinidad, Cassidy Mailloux and Alexa Taylor added goals.
• The Bison continued to keep momentum and outscored the Redhawks 5-1 in the second half.

BISON TOP PERFORMERS

• Rikiah Wise finished with four goals.
• Karley Trinidad added three goals and five groundballs.
• Alexa Taylor had three goals.
• Abbie Carpenter contributed with two goals and two assists while causing three turnovers.
• Kassidy Stephens had 10 groundballs and six caused turnovers.
• Joanna Melita dished two assists.
