DELAWARE, Ohio – The Bethany College women's volleyball team competed against Anderson and Ohio Wesleyan at the Bishop Invitational Saturday morning. Bethany defeated Anderson, 3-2 and fell to host Ohio Wesleyan, 3-1.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• Bethany fell to Anderson in the first set, 25-18, but bounced back to win the next two sets, 25-20 and 25-19.
• In set four, the Bison and Ravens battled back and forth but the Ravens edged the Bison 26-24.
• In the final set, the Bison were in full control holding a 9-3 lead, but the Ravens battled back to knot the set at 10-10. The Bison regained composure and took the final set 15-11, earning them their third win of the season.
• Against Ohio Wesleyan, Bethany fell in the first set 25-16, but rebounded back to win the second set 25-20. Ohio Wesleyan finished the match winning the last two sets, 25-14.

INSIDE THE MATCH (ONE)

• Emma Marthins led the Bison with 14 kills. She had four blocks.
• Riley Felton had a block party making eight blocks (six assisted).
• Lynn Burton had 40 assists, while Asia Crim had 27 digs. Olivia Koehler and Anna Taylor both had 19 digs apiece.

INSIDE THE MATCH (TWO)

• Destiny Goodnight led the Bison with 10 kills and added two blocks.
• Riley Felton had nine kills while Emma Marthins added six. Felton had four blocks and Marthins added three.
• Olivia Koehler led the team with 13 digs while Lynn Burton had 24 assists.

WHAT'S NEXT?  

The Bison return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 20 in Latrobe, Pa. against PAC foe Saint Vincent College at 7 pm.
