BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's volleyball team hosted the Franciscan University Barons inside Hummel Field House Thursday evening. The Bison swept the Barons, 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-15).  

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• The Bison took an early 11-1 lead, followed by an 18-2 lead over the Barons in the first set.
• In set two, the Bison and Barons battled back and forth with the Bison but the Green and White were able to pull together a string of points to take a 14-9 lead. The Bison maintained the lead and took set two 25-17.
• The Bison maintained momentum and earned a 25-15 third set win.

65 – The Bison totaled 65 digs.  

6 – The Bison had six aces and six solo blocks.

INSIDE THE MATCH

• Destiny Goodnight and Olivia Koehler led the Bison with nine kills.
• Alaina Torres led the Bison with 18 assists, followed by Lynn Burton's 16 assists.
• Emma Marthins had a team high six blocks (2 solo).

The Bison travel to Waynesburg University for a non-conference tilt against the Yellow Jackets on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 11 am.
