BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Bethany College women's soccer team took on PAC foe Geneva College Wednesday evening. The Bison defeated the Golden Tornadoes, 4-1.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Bethany the lead first after Monica Bird found the back of the net in the 9th minute of play.
- Geneva knotted the match at 1-1 in the 31st minute.
- The Bison didn't trail long scoring one minute later. Monica Bird found a trailing Emily Wenger to give the Bison a 2-1 lead.
- Minutes later, the Bison added to their lead after Mallory Peyton scored off of a free kick in the 36th minute.
- In the second half, Monica Bird scored her second goal of the game to give Bethany the three goal lead.

- Bethany held the shot advantage outshooting the Golden Tornadoes, 16-13.

- Freshman Mallory Peyton scored her first collegiate goal.

- Tonight's win was Bethany's first PAC win since defeating Saint Vincent, 2-1 during the shortened COVID season in 2020-21.
