BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College women's volleyball team earned a 3-1 victory over Allegheny College Thursday evening.
THE MATCHUP
- Bethany 3, Allegheny 1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-21)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bethany got off to slow start in set one. Allegheny took a 6-1 lead to open the set. The Bison would battle to cut the score, 12-11, but the Gators maintained the momentum to capture the first set.
- Both teams continued to battle in the second set. This time, the Bison would pull ahead and take the lead to win second set.
- Momentum continued to stay in the Bison's favor in set three. The Gators attempted to stall the set after trailing 24-20, they grabbed three points, but eventually the Bison were able to capture set three.
- For the beginning of the final set both teams went neck-and-neck, but the Bison strung together a rally to take a big lead over the Gators. The Gators didn't back down, battled back but fell 25-21.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Bison return to the court on Saturday, Oct. 21 when they host the Westminster College Titans for a PAC matchup inside Hummel Field House beginning at 1 pm. The Bison will celebrate their seniors prior to the match.
