BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College men's basketball team earned the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener win over Franciscan University Wednesday evening. The Bison used a strong second half to defeat the Barons, 85-63.
GAME FLOW
- The Bison came out hot to start the game taking a 9-0 lead. After a Franciscan timeout, the Barons hit a three to get on the board. The Barons battled to cut the deficit after going on a mini run. Each time the Barons would cut the lead close, the Bison would respond. With 2:20 to go in the first half, Cole Dailey slammed down a dunk giving the Bison a 32-26 lead. With fourteen seconds, the Barons knotted the game at 32-32.
- Bethany started the second half a little slow hanging on to a narrow lead. The Barons hung around and knotted the game at 49-49 with under 10 minutes to go.
- In the final nine minutes, the Bison outscored the Barons, 36-14.

- Bethany shot 46.9 percent from the field.
- Both teams were even from behind the arc with Bethany taking the slight edge, 35.3%. Franciscan shot 31.3%.
- Bethany had the slight rebounding advantage. 43-41.
- The Green and White capitalized on the turnovers, scoring 28 points.
