MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Bethany College volleyball team fell to Allegheny Friday in four sets, 25-15, 25-16, 20-25, 25-13, in Presidents' Athletic Conference action.
Allegheny scored eight of the last points of the first set to earn the victory. There were two separate runs in second set – a 7-2 run Allegheny run to create distance and a 7-2 run to end the set.
Bethany scored five of the first six points, and 10 of the first 15 points. While the Gators came back to forge a tie, BC scored seven of the next nine points and continued to victory,
The Gators responded by tallying eight of the first 11 points of the fourth set. Allegheny put the game away with a 13-3 run.
Bethany (7-14 overall, 0-3 PAC) has a week off before returning to the court 1 p.m. October 19 to face Franciscan in PAC action. The Bison dropped both non-conference meetings with the Barons this season.
