WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The shots just didn't fall for the Bethany College men's basketball team as the Bison fell for the first time this season, losing to Waynesburg, 87-80, in Presidents' Athletic Conference action inside the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse. 

Bethany shot a season-low 21.9 percent (8-of-35) from beyond the arc, including just 3-of-21 in the second half. The Bison averaged 13.4 three-pointers made per game. 

Foul trouble played a huge role in the contest as Bethany was outscored 27-11 with Dailey on the bench with his fourth foul. While the number of fouls called were relatively even, fouls to key Bison, were pivotal in the outcome.  

Freshman Jess Roller finished with a career-high 21 points, while sophomore Will Brooks registered his second double-double of the season with 13 points and a season-high tying 10 rebounds. 

Junior Cole Dailey continued his stat-sheet stuffing ways with 14 points, five blocks, four rebounds, four steals, and three blocks.  

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES 

• It was a season-low 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting, including 3-of-9 from three-point range for junior Ryan Reasbeck. He has still reached double figures in all six games.  

• Bethany has now lost three straight, and eight of the last nine, to Waynesburg. 

• The game featured 16 lead changes and eight ties. 

• The Bison shot just 64 percent (16-of-25) from the free throw line, while Waynesburg shot 76.7 (23-of-30) from the charity stripe.  

Bethany (5-1 overall, 0-1 PAC) travels to Youngstown State 6 p.m. Saturday.
