The Bison traveled to Tiffin, Ohio to take on Heidelberg. The Bethany defense locked down in the second half, but was unable to come back from a 2-0 deficit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-
Heidelberg served as the aggressors in the first half with 15 shot attempts. Bethany had one shot that was off the mark.
-
The game was scoreless until the 26 minute mark, where Heidelberg scored their first goal of the game.
-
Each team traded possessions until Heidelberg found an opportunity off of a free kick. A well run play resulted in another goal.
-
The Bison played tighter defense in the second half. They more than halved Heidelberg's shots, reducing their attempts to just six.
-
The improvement on defense kept Bethany within striking distance, but a lack of offense proved to be the Green and White's biggest downfall.
Bethany (2-1) will plan to get back on track against Hiram (0-3). The Bison will travel back to Ohio to take on the Terriers 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 11.
