Bethany traveled to Randolph Macon for a Sunday non-conference matchup. The Bison showed a big improvement on offense, yet were unable to score in a 3-0 loss against the Yellow Jackets.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Bethany offense showed improvement in creating opportunities. They had 12 shots, which is 33 percent more than their shot total in the three games to start the season.

Randolph-Macon scored two goals in quick succession fairly early in the game (16 and 19 minute marks). This gave them the opportunity to play more defensively the rest of the game, defending Bethany's attacks successfully.

Despite outshooting the Yellow Jackets in the second half, the Bison still were unable to find the net.

The Yellow Jackets scored on a penalty kick to make it a 3-0 game, where the score stayed until time ran out.
The Bison (0-4) will finally come back to Hoag Field for a home game on Saturday, September 14th. Mount Aloysius College (1-2-1) will come to town for a 4:30 kickoff.
