Women's Soccer Drops Road Contest to Allegheny

MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Bethany College women's soccer team fell to Allegheny (Pa.) College by a final score of 4-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.

Bethany (1-12, 0-8 PAC) Leaders
  • Senior All-PAC forward Monica Bird (McKinnon, Antigua/St. Anthony's Secondary School) led the Bison offense with two shots with one on goal
  • Senior Academic All-PAC defender Jazmin Gonzalez (San Angelo, Texas), senior All-PAC defender Brooke Fuleki (Baltimore, Ohio/Bloom-Carroll), and senior forward Grace Schweickert (Hiram, Ohio/Crestwood) each took one shot on goal against the Gators
  • Junior All-PAC goalkeeper Hope Fair (Dunnville, Ontario/Lakeshore Catholic) tied a season-high nine saves in her first game back from injury
  • Senior Academic All-PAC midfielder Timberlyn Blankenship (Ada, Ohio) and junior Academic All-PAC forward Jordan Palmer (East Liverpool, Ohio/Beaver Local) each took a shot to round out the Green and White's attempts

  • Katherine Surdykowski scored two goals on a game-high five shots 
  • Alex Augustine made four saves in the Allegheny shutout

  • The Bison faced 10 shots with Fair making four saves
  • The Gators won the corner kick margin 4-0
Second Half (Allegheny 4-0)
  • Bethany took seven shots to Allegheny's 11
  • Fair recorded five saves while Augustine tallied her four saves on the day
The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, October 22 as they travel to Washington, Pennsylvania to take on Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference matchup at 7 p.m. at Alexandre Stadium.
