NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College men's soccer team defeated Westminster (Pa.) College by a final score of 2-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at the UPMC Sports Complex.
Bethany (4-9-3, 3-6-1 PAC) Leaders
- Junior Peyton Thomassy (Cumberland, Md./Allegany), freshman Ben Smith (Los Lunas, N.M./School of Dreams Academy), and freshman Lucas Bassetti (New Kent, Va.) held down the goalkeeping and earned the combined shutout for the Green and White's second of the season
- Junior forward Santiago Waites (Birmingham, Ala./Oak Mountain) scored his third goal of the season on three shots
- Sophomore midfielder Samuel Bedoya (Cape Coral, Fla./Mariner) took two shots on goal and scored an insurance goal after playing in all 90 minutes
Westminster (1-12-4, 1-6-3 PAC) Leaders
- Freshman forward Jackson Friday took a team-high three shots with two on goal
- Senior goalkeeper Noah Wolford led the Titans with four goals

- 19:30 - Waites put the Bison on the board with his first career gamewinner
- 36:57 - Bedoya padded the Bethany lead with an unassisted goal

- The Bison outshot the Titans 5-4
- Smith and Bassetti each made their collegiate debut and recorded their first career saves
