Men's Basketball Outlasted by Chatham in Final Game of 2025

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's basketball team fell to Chatham (Pa.) University by a final score of 86-83 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse. 

Bethany (3-7, 0-2 PAC) Leaders
  • Senior guard Co Rose (Odessa, Texas) made it two straight 20+ point games finishing with 24 points, four rebounds, and three steals
  • Sophomore forward Jayden Jackson (Columbia, S.C./A.C. Flora) recorded his third double-double of the season and his first since the opening week after leading the team with 13 boards and adding 17 points
  • Senior guard Ryan Reasbeck (Washington, Pa./Wheeling Central Catholic) reached 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting and added two steals and two rebounds
  • Graduate Academic All-PAC guard Troy Hixson (Grove City, Ohio/Bishop Ready) was the final member of the Green and White in double figures with 15 points and eight rebounds
  • Sophomore guard Bryson Bishop (Dayton, Ohio/Stebbins) assisted a game-high five times and grabbed five rebounds
Chatham (5-3, 1-1 PAC) Leaders
  • Senior guard Diaun Pinkett also finished with a double-double of a game-high 25 points and 12 rebounds
  • Senior forward Jake TenBerge posted 12 points and 12 rebounds for another Chatham double-double
  • Sophomore guard Sam Norfleet IV scored 23 points and tallied a team-high four assists
First Half (Bethany 41-39)
  • The Bison's eight threes powered the team's 50% shooting from the floor
  • Bethany held the lead for 13 minutes in the first half
  • Rose and Reasbeck combined for 26 of the Green and White's points with 15 and 11, respectively
  • The Bethany defense forced nine turnovers and recorded seven steals 
Second Half (Chatham 86-83)
  • Jackson grabbed nine of his 13 rebounds including three offensive
  • The Bison's seven fast break points shut out the Cougars in transition
  • After falling to a 73-64 deficit with six minutes to play, the Bison went on a 12-2 run to take a one-point lead heading into the final two minutes
  • Jackson cut the Chatham lead to one with six seconds left, but Norfleet would sink two free throws to secure the victory for the Cougars
The Bison are back in action on Saturday, January 3 as they host Houghton (N.Y.) University in a non-conference matchup at 3 p.m. on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.
