Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Bison Compete in First PAC Matchup in History

BEAVER FALLS, Pa. - The Bison traveled to Geneva College to take on the Golden Tornadoes. It was Bethany's first ever President Athletics Conference matchup, as this year is the inaugural PAC season for Men's Volleyball.

Bethany tried various strategies to stop the Golden Tornadoes attack, with only four Bison playing in all three sets. They had the most success in the second set of the match.

The Green and White were down 18-11 before fighting back to a two point game. The Bison called a timeout to reset and tweak their offensive game plan mid-set. Then the attacks started to find the floor.

Tyler Johnson kicked off a spree with a hammer. Alexander Hall picked up the energy and slammed a floating reception at the net for consecutive kills.

After giving up some points, Johnson reignited the team with another kill. The Bison fought back to a 21-19 score, but were unable to complete the comeback in set two. The momentum stayed on Geneva's side of the court for the rest of the game, ending in three sets.

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES:

  • Riley Burdett led the team with six kills.

  • Xavier Cole had the only ace for the Bison.

  • The Bison were on the defensive for most of the match. Bethany had three athletes with five digs: Logan Mills, Burdett, and Cole.

The Bison will host their first Presidents Athletic Conference match in program history when they welcome Thiel Tuesday at 6 p.m.
