BISON STADIUM – Women's Lacrosse hosted Presidents Athletic Conference competition attempting to make it three in a row. The Bethany Bison hosted the Franciscan Lady Barons. Despite a quality first period, the Bison weren't able to maintain that momentum through the rest of the game.
The Green and White stormed out to a 6-2 lead in the first period. Karley Trinidad had two goals and an assist in that stretch, standing out among the field. However, she was unable to replicate that success in later periods.
Abbie Carpenter did start early, but carried her offensive presence throughout the entire 60 minutes. She finished with six goals and two assists. Carpenter's six goals led both squads for most scores in this game.
A big first period was replicated by Franciscan in the following 15 minutes. From that moment on, the Bison couldn't regain the lead.
Bethany will travel to Grove City next Tuesday. They will be the first game of the double header, beginning at 5 p.m.
