BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's soccer team defeated Adrian (Mich.) College by a final score of 1-0 in the 2025 season opener and a non-conference game at Hoag Field.
Bethany (1-0) Leaders
- Senior Ian Stempler (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Farmingdale College) only needed one shot to score the first goal of the season for the Bison
- Junior midfielder Ricardo Diaz (Sacramento, Calif./Del Campo) had plenty of open looks and took a game-high five shots
- Junior goalkeeper Adam Imhulse (Cincinnati, Ohio/Finneytown) tallied three saves in his first game in goal for the Green and White
- The Bison defense played strong allowing only six shots with three on goal
Adrian (0-1) Leaders
- Sophomore forward Kyle Peterson led the team with two shots and one on goal
- Sophomore goalkeeper Eli Sizemore tallied two saves for the Bulldogs
