Women's Volleyball Rolls Past Waynesburg

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College women's volleyball team defeated Waynesburg (Pa.) University by a final score of 3-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match on Joe Kurey Memorial Court at Hummel Fieldhouse.

Bethany (5-7, 2-1 PAC) Leaders

  • Freshman setter Grace Padavick (Cleveland, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) finished with a stat line of 27 assists, eight digs, three blocks, two kills, and an ace
  • Senior Academic All-PAC middle blocker Averie Braymer (Saegertown, Pa.) notched her seventh double-digit kill game of the season with a match-high 15 while also adding four aces and three total blocks
  • Freshman outside hitter Isabella Poppelriter (Wellsville, Ohio) had 13 digs and added six kills and two aces
  • Sophomore middle blocker Ashton Thomas (Toronto, Ohio) recorded seven kills for the Green and White offense
  • Senior Academic All-PAC libero Andie Clark (Columbus, Ind./Hauser) led all players with 14 digs
  • Sophomore outside hitter Marissa French (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) made her collegiate debut and first-career start where she tallied two digs

  • Senior setter Riley Ruffley led the team in digs with nine and tallied 11 assists
  • Junior right-side hitter Kristina Zadrozny had a team-high nine kills with two digs
  • Junior setter Ray Baniaga assisted 12 times with six digs for the Yellow Jackets
