BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's soccer team tied The College of Wooster (Ohio) in a non-conference game by a final score of 1-1 on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium.
Bethany (1-1-1) Leaders
- Senior midfielder Pablo Aguilera (Madrid, Spain/Colegio Brains) scored his first goal of the season and tied a game-high three shots
- Junior midfielder Ricardo Diaz (Sacramento, Calif./Del Campo) recorded his first point as a Bison with an assist on Aguilera's goal to tie the game
- Junior goalkeeper Peyton Thomassy (Cumberland, Md./Allegany) got his first start for the Green and White and made one save
- Junior goalkeeper Adam Imhulse (Cincinnati, Ohio/Finneytown) came in to relieve Thomassy after an injury and added two saves
Wooster (3-0-1) Leaders
- Senior midfielder Evan Amend took three shots with one resulting in a goal
- Sophomore goalkeeper Eddie Glucksman saved a game-high three shots
First Half (Wooster 1-0)
- 19:37 - Amend put the Fighting Scots ahead with a left-footer to the opposite corner of the net
Second Half (Tied 1-1)
- 68:25 - Diaz centered it up for Aguilera who fired a no-doubter to the bottom left to tie the game
- After only taking two shots in the first, the Bison bombarded Wooster with nine shots
