HERMITAGE, Pa. - The Bethany College women's golf team opened the 2025-26 season as it competed in the Thiel Women's Fall Invitational hosted by Thiel (Pa.) College at Avalon at Buhl Park Country Club.
Three Bison competed individually at the Invitational that included 47 golfers from 10 different schools including eight Presidents' Athletic Conference teams. In the team standings, Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College claimed the top spot with a four-player total of 329 for 49 over par.
Academic All-PAC sophomore
Natalie DuShole (Waterford, Pa./Fort LeBouf) led the Bison by shooting 94 and landing at 15th place overall and second among individual competitors. She notched five pars on the day and ranked 13th in the field with an average of 5.67 strokes on Par 5 holes.
Shelby Cascioli (Lapeer, Mich.) made had a solid collegiate debut where she fired 35 over to tie for 33rd overall. She averaged 5.8 on Par 4s and 7 on Par 5s with one par on the day to open her career as a Bison.
Academic All-PAC graduate
Olivia Masciantoni (Georgetown, Pa./Southside) finished close behind
Cascioli after carding 110 on the day with one par. She and
DuShole each led the team by averaging five strokes on Par 3 holes.
The Bison are back in action on Monday, September 15 as they travel to Latrobe, Pennsylvania to take on Saint Vincent (Pa.) College at 11 a.m. at the Latrobe Country Club.
