Men's Volleyball Swept by No. 17 Thiel on the Road

GREENVILLE, Pa. - The Bethany College men's volleyball team fell to No. 17 nationally ranked Thiel (Pa.) College by a final score of 3-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match on Maenpa Court at Beeghly Gymnasium.

Bethany (0-7, 0-2 PAC) Leaders
  • Junior outside hitter Tyler Johnson (Oswego, Ill.) led the Bison in digs with five while also recording three kills and one service ace
  • Sophomore Academic All-PAC setter Logan Mills (Barrie North, Ontario/Eastview Secondary School) tallied a team-high 11 assists with one dig
  • Freshman setter Jason Martin (McKeesport, Pa.) recorded a career-best five kills to lead the Green and White offense and added a block assist
  • Sophomore All-PAC outside hitter Riley Burdett (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) also contributed three kills
  • Sophomore Academic All-PAC libero Cole Thomas (Lindside, W.Va./James Monroe) added three digs for the Bison
  • Sophomore setter Baylen Loosier (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Science & Tech Academy) and freshman middle blocker Cyrus Chappell (Junction City, Ore.) each served up one ace
  • Freshman setter Zachary Kay (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands) finished with three digs, two assists, a kill, and a block

  • Junior setter Eli Olszowka led all players with 14 assists
  • Junior setter Ben Lowell had a match-high six digs with 10 assists
  • Senior middle blocker Kaleb Proudfoot led the team in kills with six, in aces with three, and in blocks with two
