NAPLES, Fla. - The Bethany College softball team defeated Drew (N.J.) University and the State University of New York-Potsdam by final scores of 4-3 and 10-1 in a non-conference doubleheader at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at North Collier Regional Park.

- Junior All-PAC third baseman Emma Jackson (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) and sophomore All-PAC catcher Olivia Kidd (Akron, Ohio/Mogadore) each posted another multi-hit game as they each had two hits and drove in two RBI and one RBI, respectively
- Sophomore Academic All-PAC right fielder Bella Juozapaitis (Tecumseh, Mich.) finished 2-for-3 and scored one run
- Senior All-PAC right-hander Katelyn Ziems (Bowling Green, Ohio) and sophomore right-hander Trinity Edge (Franklin, Pa.) supplied the Bison offense with their last two hits

- Edge tossed another complete game where she had eight punchouts and allowed two earned runs on seven hits and six walks to improve to 3-0 on the year

- Sophomore Academic All-PAC designated hitter Molly Hitchen (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) went a career-best 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored
- Sophomore left fielder and PAC Hitter of the Week Amber Dedmon (Canton, Ohio/Canton South) closed her big week with two hits and two RBI
- Freshman first baseman Jenna Nolan (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) also tallied two hits and scored a run
- Senior right-hander Bella Belcher (Parma Heights, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) collected her first career RBI with a pinch-hit single
- Sophomore Academic All-PAC second baseman Caitlin O'Farrell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) hit an RBI double and scored one run
- Jackson finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs, two walks, two runs, and the Green and White's first round-tripper of the year
- Kidd also had another multi-hit game with two base hits
- Edge added a stolen base, a hit, and an RBI

- Junior Academic All-PAC right-hander Victoria Wehrberger (Sebastian, Fla./Sebastian River) also moves to 3-0 on the year after pitching six innings allowing no earned runs and striking out seven
The Bison are back in action Tuesday, March 17 as they travel to Greensburg, Pennsylvania to take on the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg (Pa.) in a non-conference doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. at the Pitt-Greensburg Softball Field.
