BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's volleyball team fell to Grove City (Pa.) College by a final score of 3-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference match as the team hosted Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night on Joe Kurey Memorial Court inside Hummel Fieldhouse.
Prior to the match, the men's volleyball program recognized all the dedicated Bethany College faculty & staff who have made a meaningful impact on every student-athlete's academic and athletic journeys. The night served as a heartfelt thank you to those who go above and beyond to inspire and guide students both in and out of the classroom.
Bethany (2-16, 1-8 PAC) Leaders
- Sophomore setter Baylen Loosier (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Science & Tech Academy) totaled five kills, three digs, two assists, and one service ace
- Sophomore Academic All-PAC libero Cole Thomas (Lindside, W.Va./James Monroe) led the team with four digs and contributed two assists
- Sophomore middle blocker Emilio Feliciano (El Mirage, Ariz./Dysart) finished with a statline of five kills on 10 attacks, two digs, two service aces, and one solo block
- Freshman setter Zachary Kay (Little Egg Harbor, N.J./Pinelands) notched 16 assists with two digs and a block
- Freshman outside hitter Braeden Reedus (Blacklick, Ohio/Reynoldsburg) was the third Bison with five kills and added three digs defensively
- Junior middle blocker McKay Ginez (Santa Maria, Calif./Pioneer Valley) added three kills and two digs
- Sophomore All-PAC outside hitter Riley Burdett (Jefferson Hills, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) and junior middle blocker Rylan Trapp (Belleville, Ill./Belleville Township) each recorded a solo block and three digs and two digs, respectively
Grove City (11-14, 4-6 PAC) Leaders
- Junior outside hitter Max Gianneski had a match-high nine kills with four digs and an ace
- Sophomore libero Keith Otto led the Wolverines with eight digs
- Junior setter Craig Fair posted a game-high 25 assists with four digs
