Men's Lacrosse Battles Juniata Under the Lights

BETHANY, W.Va. - The Bethany College men's lacrosse team fell to Juniata (Pa.) College by a final score of 22-7 in a non-conference game on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium. 

Bethany (0-3) Leaders
  • Sophomore midfielder Corrie Miller (Etters, Pa./Red Lands) led the Bison defense with three caused turnovers and five ground balls
  • Senior attack Justice Smith (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) made it back-to-back hat tricks with three goals on eight shots
  • Junior midfielder Abdul Lowe (Manassas, Va./Osbourn) scored his first career goal and recorded two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and nine face-off victories
  • Freshman midfielder Romeo Grullon (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) scored his first collegiate goal in just his second game where he also added three ground balls
  • Sophomore Academic All-PAC midfielder Chance Funari (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) scored a goal of his own and assisted twice for the Green and White offense
  • Freshman midfielder Levi Connally (Prince George's County, Md./Frederick Douglass) finished with three ground balls, a caused turnover, and an assist 
  • Sophomore midfielder Logan Mills (Barrie North, Ontario Eastview Secondary School) also scored his first career goal as a Bison as he went coast-to-coast after forcing a turnover and scooping up a ground ball
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Owen Livengood (York, Pa./York Suburban) made 14 saves in the crease against the Eagles
Juniata (1-4) Leaders
  • Freshman midfielder Dontez Porter scored five goals with one assist for six points on the night
  • Freshman face-off specialist Finn Anderson scooped up a game-high eight ground balls
  • Senior goalkeeper Griffin Umstead made five saves for Juniata
The Bison are back in action on Saturday, March 7 as they host the Darren Foxwell Memorial Game against Wilmington (Ohio) College in a non-conference game at 2 p.m. on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium.
