Women's Lacrosse Falls to W&J on the Road

WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College women's lacrosse team fell to Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) College by a final score of 19-0 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at Alexandre Stadium.

Bethany (7-7, 3-4 PAC) Leaders
  • Senior All-PAC defender Emily Wenger (New Cumberland, Pa./Cedar Cliff) led all players with six ground balls, four caused turnovers, and four draw controls
  • Senior defender Janez Matthews (Annapolis, Md.) finished with a statline of one ground ball, one caused turnover, and one draw control
  • Senior midfielder Catharina Recabeitia (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Escuela Normal Superior-Vicente Fatone) recorded three ground balls on the day
  • Senior attack Grace Schweickert (Hiram, Ohio/Crestwood) added one caused turnover and one ground ball
  • Senior Academic All-PAC midfielder Lexie Reid (Louisville, Ky./Ballard) and junior Academic All-PAC midfielder Tatum Severe (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) each added a draw control for the Bison
  • Senior Academic All-PAC goalkeeper Madison Wagoner (Morgantown, W.Va./University) made nine saves and recorded three ground balls
W&J (8-5, 6-2 PAC) Leaders
  • Senior attack Brynne Stewart scored two goals with five assists for a game-high seven points
  • Junior defender Sammy Hartz caused a team-best four turnovers with two ground balls
  • Senior attack Anna Kloehn led the Presidents with four ground balls
The Bison are back in action on Wednesday, April 22 as they travel to New Wilmington, Pennsylvania to take on Westminster (Pa.) College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game at 5 p.m. at the UPMC Sports Complex.
